Updates and News: July 10th

Congratulations to for winning the contest! The entry can be found here: [link] and a link to it has been added to the gallery. A larger update will be made in a few days, so if anyone would like to slip in some last minute fanthings, now's the time to do so.

Also, we still need a new contest theme as well as prize suggestions. I'd be happy to draw people award pictures, but 1) I am slow, and 2) People might not like them to begin with. ~_^ Soooo yes. Tell me what you guys think. And send in fanthings. The Great Green Arkleseizure would want you to.



Guide Entry: Introduction

Hello, and welcome to Hitchhikers-Guide, a club that hopes to bring together fans of that series from the great publishing companies of Ursa Minor: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. (as well as other stories by the great Douglas Adams) Feel free to join, meet some new people, and submit some artistic fandom as well!



Entry: Joining

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you draw, write, or just feel like poking around. All you have to do is 1) friend the club, 2) send us a note, and 3) put our club icon or a link (: iconhitchhikers-guide : or : devhitchhikers-guide: without the spaces) somewhere in your journal or signature. If you don't see your own icon under "members" here, note us and we'll fix it.



Entry: Submitting

Anything goes... art, stories, HHGG, Dirk Gently, etc. We're not picky. To show other members your work, post a link to it on the comments block or send me a note... and I'll be sure to run through and add it to our list of favorites. Come on, people, you know you want to submit! The super intelligent shades of the color blue would want you to.

HHGG News

Radio drama update: The quintessential phase has now finished airing on BBC Radio Four. For those who'd like to listen, that means that there are now five phases and 26 segments to hear.

Movie update: It's come and it's gone, but the DVD will be out in the US on September first. It looks promising... 2 discs with several new scenes that were filmed with the purpose of being included just on the DVD. Exciting!

Also, ~Ilovejuice has pointed out that all those who journey to [link] can hear Marvin, ie Stephen Moore, singing the blues in four songs that were released in 1981. They're highly amusing, especially Reasons to be Miserable and Marvin, I Love You.
